Cybersecurity, AI, and Digital Sovereignty at the ICT Austria Industry Forum 2026

How are cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital sovereignty connected? And what challenges does this pose for businesses?

Managing Partner Marc Nimmerrichter addressed these questions at the ICT Austria Industry Forum 2026. The event brought together representatives from business, politics, academia, and technology to discuss key questions about Europe’s digital future.

In his presentation, Marc used real-world examples to show how AI is changing vulnerability research and what new challenges this creates for cybersecurity. The capabilities that AI offers security experts are equally available to potential attackers, which changes the speed at which vulnerabilities can be discovered and exploited. Another focus was digital sovereignty and the question of how companies can assess their technological dependencies and remain able to act in the long term.

Many thanks to ICT Austria for the invitation, the opportunity to share our experience, and the stimulating exchange!
