Austria’s National Council has passed the Network and Information Systems Security Act 2026 (NISG 2026), thereby transposing the EU NIS2 Directive into national law. The legislation significantly tightens requirements for cybersecurity, incident reporting, and organisational responsibilities for affected entities and will enter into force in autumn 2026.
