Cybersecurity Starts with Physical Security

Hackers don’t always break in like in the movies — sometimes, they simply walk through the door.

In early June, our colleague Hassan Mohamad joined Verkada’s event “The Future of Physical Security & Data Protection in Austria” as a speaker. He shared insights into physical security for businesses and explained why cybersecurity does not begin with firewalls, networks, or endpoints alone.

After all, physical access to buildings, server rooms, or sensitive areas is also a critical security factor. The event focused on current challenges in physical security, regulatory requirements such as RKEG and NIS2, and the question of how companies can adapt their security strategies to new developments.

We are pleased to have been part of this insightful event and would like to thank Verkada for the invitation, as well as all participants for the open and valuable exchange.
